I suppose it’s axiomatic to say that political parties must find fault with each other. Republicans are diametrically in opposition to Democrats and vice-versa. Therefore, even if the party in power is doing a fabulous job for the citizens of our country, it seems as though the party out of power must do everything possible to scuttle their success. I don’t know if that’s the way the Founding Fathers intended it to be, but I guess it keeps us from becoming an autocratic system with all the power invested in one entity. The FF also provided a Bill of Rights that gives freedom to the press. I sincerely doubt that they envisioned a press that would transform into an enemy of the country that provided that freedom. Nevertheless, that appears to be exactly what has happened. The leftwing media, described accurately by President Trump as “fake news,” has become another opposition party with one goal; to take down a duly elected Chief Executive.
